I demand that all owners, Bettman and Daily be shot on sight. These asshole took half a season from me for absolutely no reason.

The way capgeek displays it is kinda misleading. He's not earning $4.5m PLUS a $3.5m signing bonus next season. The difference (I think) is that he gets the "signing bonus" amount as a lump sum at the beginning of the season, then the additional $1m is paid out throughout the year. It's not throwing money at him, it's just deciding how the money is paid out.
