Surveyed some NHL scouts and feeling is that price on Evander Kane has dropped. One top asset could be enough to land him from #NHLJets.

Kane's dress code violation violated the NHLPA CBA, not just the Jets rule.

It wasn't to a game, it was to a pregame meeting. So the cba clause didn't apply.

The press is having a field day with this and I just don't see why everyone's so certain he's gone. You bench a good player as a reality check because you haven't given up on him yet.

He's been shopped for over a year now. Although he hasn't flat out admitted it, sources are saying he wants a change in scenery badly. Hell, he even favourited a Kane to the Flyers tweet last year lol. All of this is just adding to the pile of bullshit that the Jets want to get rid of.

Yea last year he was favoriting trade tweets when Blake wheeler called him out for lack of professionalism if I recall.

Then there were headlines that the two don't see eye to eye etc.

I agree with your last line, he needs to go for those reasons. Jets have a great chance at a playoffs birth, cant have distractions/players not giving it their all

All things considered though, I would fucking love to see him in Philly. I think he could be a spark that will get someone like Simmonds really fired up. Lappy behind the bench would keep him in line. If they could make a deal that sends Brandon Schenn to the Jets, pull the trigger. Even better if both Schenns can go

Winnipeg are my 2nd favourite team and I watch most of their games, Kane is probably the most selfish player I've ever seen. He literally make no pass unless he got 3 guys on him and absolutely have to. The timing of the trade is kinda weird though ( if it happens ), he's been a much better teammate under Paul Maurice and I actually thought he was turning a corner in his career by trying to be a better teammate.

Whichever team trade for him will regret it imo.
