Also Prust out 4-6 weeks.

Never thought I'd actually be disappointed that Prust was out long-term.

It's disappointing and sad that he's been one of our best players

It does sound sad but he was just playing that well, I don't think it was the team playing that poorly.

It's been an odd first 10 games. We've actually played relatively well for the most part, IMO. We could easily have a great record but some weird things happened that usually wouldn't, like losing all 4 games that ended in OT and choking away several 3rd period leads.

I can't say I'm disappointed in any player that I had expectations for except Horvat, and Baertschi to a much lesser extent.

Then again, we've either played bad teams or good teams that weren't on their games at the time (ANA, LA, DET, MTL). Dallas was the first good team that played their game against us and we almost won.

Hard to get a read on the team so far, especially with Miller masking a lot of our mistakes.

I think Horvat for the most part is doing all the right things. Outside of showing up on the scoreboard. I'm sure he'll get his groove back. Idk what to think of Baertschi. For someone that has his entire game revolve around puck possession he's so fucking weak on the puck and is non existent when it comes to retrieving it.

/e I'm not impressed with Hansen thus far. Seems like he just drags whatever line he's on down.

He has been sort of invisible in a lot of games, which you don't want from an "energy" player, but at the same time he's on pace for 33 points without any PP time and has made like no defensive mistakes even though he's used in tough situations.

Can't ask much more from a pure 3rd line winger.

Fun side-note: Bae is one of our best advanced stats players this year lol.

I saw that earlier somewhere, just doesn't look like it on ice at all.

Good example why advanced stats don't tell the whole story. I know there are some people who simply think:

Player's corsi% above 50 = good player
Player's corsi% below 50 = bad player

which is absurd.

Baertschi has good advanced stats but guys like Burrows, Dorsett and Prust who have been consistently solid have bad/terrible advanced stats.

But then you have a guy like Tanev who is an advanced stats god and it shows on the ice B)

Almost choked away another big lead but it worked out.

Tanev and Edler were beasts.

McCann on pace for like 45 goals.
