Not condoning the hit but I hate the way players are taught in todays game.

You see a guy right behind you, look directly at him and then turn your back to him heading into the boards.

Players are choosing not to protect themselves and deliberately put themselves in a vulnerable position expecting the opponent to let up.

They know boarding calls are going to be called so they take the risk. I did not like that hit but it's one of those situations where a player made a conscious decision to put themselves in a bad spot.

To be clear it is a reckless play and he should have let up but I just can't stand that this is how players are taught to approach this situation now.
