Mantha and Larkin are expendable and can be sold at high value. If those two can be moved for a top defensemen they should.

With the defensemen currently on the block there's no one Holland could trade for that would be worth it. Green's not going anywhere, and sabres are asking way too much for Myers. Oilers have zero leverage on Petry. Franson wants too much money next year so he's a rental through and through.
Larkin's not expendable, he's the next cycle - 7 years younger than Nyquist and Tatar - and holland would be run out of town if he traded Mantha anyway.

Also, rumors that Sens might make a run at Taylor Hall.

flyers will prob have grossman maybe coburn up for grabs at the deadline
macdonald obv but nobody will want him maybe even the schenn bros

grossman isnt the fastest but hes pretty good blocks lots of shots clears the net and everyonce and awhile does some play offensively thats like WHAT ARE YOU SERIOUS HOW DID HE DO THAT

not saying hes like a elite top 4 or anything but i mean hes a pretty solid guy thats out there and hopefully gets picked up lol

flyers being sellers is weird haha but i kinda like it its like lets see what we can bring back in for these guys for the future

What's the problem with this?

You have to give something to get something. Obviously if you give up one of those pieces you'll be getting a damn good D-man in return.

No one currently being traded is worth nearly that much though. To trade one of the top 2 prospects age 20 or under plus a first would be moronic even for Mike Green.

Mantha + 1st is a fairly normal offer for a top pairing defensemen. Would be a good deal for Mike Green.

elliot freidman? i think on cbc panel just said leafs offered franson a 4.6 aav multiyear deal n he turned it down
