Franson should be addition by subtraction for the Leafs. Guy is so fucking soft for someone his size, and he'll mess up in the D zone if you come within 20ft of him. The only way a team can use him is to play with 11 forward and make him take 4th line shifts outside of the PP

if the leafs arent willing to pay what he wants after giving clarkson that deal.... i dont want franson or the contract he wants
besides next season we prob call up morin to be our #2 d man with coburn they looked good in the preseason

Hextall and Holmgren have the same boss. No GM has 100% say in moves. Many are pawns.

no doubt owners can push things like the kovalchuk deal in nj i think ed pushed the bryz deal that wasnt homers style
i think flyers gm get a lot of trust though money isnt really an issue
all i know is hextall said hes about young guys picks and defense and our d is in one hell of a situation im curious to see what he tries to do to fix it and who gets moved
holmgren was more offense tough gritty type guys same boss but both have completely different style of team they want

im lookin at it like this homer created the offense and got us a decent goalie situation its on hextall to fix the D and hes donig that through prospects/FA not trades unless its like keith weber suter ect ect
