Blues played with 17 skaters last night (10 forwards/7dmen) due to covid and injury issues and lost another skater and starting goalie (since binnington has covid, husso is the current starter) due to injury during the game.

Since they played short, they enter emergency conditions where they can call up multiple players as long as each player called up makes 850k or less.

One problem; the blues minor league affiliate is so ravaged by covid they have 8 skaters and 13 staff members currently positive. When you take that into account, there are only like 4 eligible players due to contract status who aren't with covid currently, and the blues don't want to bring any other possible outside exposures into the locker room. They recalled one guy who wasn't around many players and called up the goalie who started the year 5th on depth chart, so our current goalie tandem in the NHL consists of our 4th and 5th goalies to play behind a team that'll still have to play with 17 skaters or less come Thursday, 5 of which are ahl players.

How fucked up is this?

Guy was mad his teammate got injured from a dirty hit and went out looking for the head of the guy who did it.

How is it not comparable?
