It's kind of nice to know we won't be super active on trade deadline and that all improvements will be from within. I think moving Bishop will be the only trade on BM's agenda.

Apparently Clowe is getting traded for a 2nd and a 3rd round pick.

Considering we traded a 2nd round pick for Bishop last year, and that he actually played great in the NHL since then.. I would think his value would be higher than when we got him last year.

Well yeah I think his value definitely went up, but the buying market for goalies is not big at the moment. I'm sure (hope) we will get something more than what we paid though

I heard some rumours around the city that we were interested in Smid, which is why I brought him up in my edit. Would make sense for EDM to take a shot at Bishop. I think they signed him though. I'm sure we'll add a little depth with whatever we get

Didn't Smid just signed an extension with Edmonton ? Really not sure about that though

But yeah, I'm curious to see if Bishop gets traded before the deadline, or only at the draft this summer.

any word on that?
