The FBI and CIA say that Russia has 'compromising material' on Trump, something nasty they could blackmail him with from his several business dealings/trips to Russia. Trump and Russia obviously say that's not true.

And then 4chan decided to claim they started that rumour, and some people ate that up for some reason.

It's either a liberal view so it's wrong or its biased media so it's wrong. 2 weeks later trump supporters don't give credit when proven wrong by trump coming out and finally changing his stance. Literally every controversial trump story ever.
