He'll help the team, without a doubt. But trading a 2nd for a 32 year old 4th liner and possibly only a rental doesn't make sense for the leafs. Using that 2nd to land a rental D man would have a much bigger impact on the leafs making the playoffs. Arguably, they should use the 2nd to get snag a longterm D option before the vegas draft in the offseason. Because more than likely the leafs are getting swept in the 1st round by either pitt or wash anyway

The leafs have a 21 year old 6'5" center in Gauthier they should be trying to develop anyway.
