He was also 160 when drafted and 175 or something going into last season. For 6'1" players 185-195 is the sweet spot.

I also guarantee he's got a much denser build than you. I played with a guy who was 5'9" 165 of pure muscle. Hit like a fucking cannonball and if you underestimated how much you needed to brace, you're looking at the ceiling.

I don't think Kopitar/Getzlaf/Toews/Backes/Thornton etc etc are intimidated by his size

For sure he is in better shape than me but it's not vs me he is playing against. I'm just saying.. RNH is not a complete player. Not even close right now, maybe one day..

You don't have to be big, physical or intimidating to be a complete player. Bergeron, Toews, Parise... list goes on.

Eh. He's got growing to do. Hall doesn't seem to be all that complete, but his offensive upside more than makes up for that I suppose. I would agree though that RNH is more valuable to the oilers than Hall, if only because of the obscene return Hall will get. Every team in the league is trying to put together two first lines with 1Cs or close to 1Cs. RNH isn't worth as much as spezza or kesler but he has every chance at it whereas hall is established as a top 5 LW.

Anyway unless Hall legitimately was a locker room problem I'd not touch him. Oilers need a stronger and more consistent coaching structure. And maybe a guy who can actually be a captain.

I applaud you for this. I dint go around screaming jt cause don't want the homer card.
And hall for C..

my favorite player on oilers. I'd be devastated if traded. Have 2 friggin hall jerseys even...

But if prove was right. Mact would e a fool to not consider it.

Imagine a stamkos hall line.

or okposo Tavares hall...

Much easier to be a top LW than top C, just based on competition.

Kesler and Spezza are probably better players now but I don't see them being worth more than RNH value wise when you consider age and injury history.

Yeah well Oilers better get a lot for Hall if they do trade him. I agree wouldn't want him here if he is a locker room problem

?? Most other 1C in the West are more complete than him. Plekanec is more complete than him. RNH has a MUCH higher offensive side that isn't even comparable but don't tell me he is a complete player.

You don't watch all oilers games. Don't expect you to understand.
RNH is very 2 way in his gameplay. Sure he doesn't throw a huge hit. But he makes up for that in his takeaways and on ice vision.

But don't get me wrong, he still has lots he can improve
