There's very few D-men that can play Phaneuf's role on the market. Teams don't wanna give up legit 5/6 D-men, forget top-4s.

If you trade away Phaneuf you'll have a tough time finding a deal for someone to take his spot, at least at a fair price.

Ph9 not a top 6 d man tho

E/ you mean in the league right? I dont think hes even close to that

No, I mean 3rd pairing D-men, #5 or #6 :P not #5 or 6 overall in the league hehe.

No team has enough D-men that can play a regular NHL shift, everyone is looking for one or more.

If Hall is going to get traded it should be for a package of futures or straight-up for stud D-man around the same age/worth. What they definitely shouldn't do is trade for a package of current NHLers.

If the Oilers are targeting Yandle, Oilers fans might as well kill themselves now.

OEL isn't moving.

RNH is more important than Hall IMO. RNH is a more complete player and a center is always going to be worth more if the players are in the same ballpark.

lol... If I was the Oilers I wouldn't trade just Hall for Kadri and Phaneuf let alone add a 1st... and I actually like both Kadri and Phaneuf.

Not sure how a small one way center is more of a complete player

He's not small and he has a much more balanced 200 foot game.

Lol okay ya i was lolling at the idea that ph9 was in he top 6 d men lol

Im not saying replacing him is easy, but i think a bigmpart of the reason hes so hard to replace is his contract limits the value he is given trading him gets you leas trading chips to replace him than a good contract would have.

He still looks like a little boy, he'll fill out. 6'1 is a fine height for a 1C.

His height is ok, but he is scrawny AF nobody is scared of him and he will go flying if he tries to hit anyone. Not used on the PK, what's his face off %?

FO% under 50%, bad +/-

not sure what else he is good at other than being a playmaker

He was also 160 when drafted and 175 or something going into last season. For 6'1" players 185-195 is the sweet spot.

I also guarantee he's got a much denser build than you. I played with a guy who was 5'9" 165 of pure muscle. Hit like a fucking cannonball and if you underestimated how much you needed to brace, you're looking at the ceiling.
