Damn my lady isnt back 3 full weeks and they shut their spas down across the board. Hope she doesnt have to build back EI before qualifying for this time off.

San Francisco Bay Area ordered to Shelter in place starting at midnight tonight through April 7, non essential businesses will be closed, restaurants will be take-out only.
People will be allowed to go out for essentials, to walk their dogs, exercise, etc. but strongly recommended to stay at minimum 6 feet from one another.

Doesnt affect me in Sonoma County (yet), ^KoJ should be good for now as well.
But my brother is affected, told him to just come up to my place but his gf's mom is "useless without them" so they are staying. Kids a dumbass I swear.

Not surprised. It is a union lol. I would bet the majority are just abusing the generous benefits package and are not actually sick.

We have a a LTI policy you can use for up to 90 days with full wages and another 60 days at 75% wages. All that is needed is a doctors not upon return.

If they had to go on EI they would show up, which proves the point that EI alone will not be enough to keep people away from work when they are struggling finnancially.

As said earlier it caps out and regardless of what you make it will be reduced.

The wealthy will capitalize on fear.

Stocks will be bought up in the masses by the wealthy who have the cash to spare.

Poor people will spend all their money on toilet paper....

Selling stocks and taking a cash position now is just terrible.... Thing is some have no choice.

I made the mistake of buying in to early. I won't lose, as the market will recover and I am in no rush to sell but it would have been nice to make money but I screwed up and don't have much money left to buy into it now.

Cases spread quickly due to health care workers working in more than one care home.

Everyone has to pay the bills. Honestly I think this outbreak shows how financially trapped we are more than anything else.

When all is said and done a lot of average folks will really be set back.
