I think we'll be okay for goaltenders. Right now we have a pretty decent trio of Ramo, Hiller and Ortio. Plus we have John Gillies who just signed out of the NCAA (he's 21). If one doesnt emerge as a top flight goalie by next year or the following year then I'd be concerned. I think our biggest concern right now is at defence, and having someone to play capable bottom 2 pairings. Other than that, we could definitely use some secondary scoring but I think we will see a different squad next year with some of the younger guys making their debut in the NHL for the season (Bennet for sure, possibly Wolf, Ferland, Porrier, Drew Shore, Ben Hanowski).

Well one of Ramo or Hiller will be traded this summer, that's almost a certainty I think.

Would love to Iggy back here. I still think we'll get him for one last year, I can't believe he'll just sign a one day contract to retire a Flame. Would love to trade for him back, but you just never know how it'll mess up the room dynamic with Gio as captain of all the young guys. It would likely be with Iggy on the 3rd line by that point, if he's cool with that. Come home Iggy.

So according to that new fanager website. Flames have 25 million in cap space with minimal resigning players this year. Fucking sweet.

Edit: okay maybe not minimal, but lot of them are rfa and won't get huge contacts anyways. Gonna be interesting. Hope we can lock up Rambo though

Not the best year to have a lot of cap space. You guys probably won't target Green considering you already have Gio, Brodie and Wideman. Martin would be a good pickup, though.

Meh! Won't be buying FAs, but would be nice to buy a garbage contract for picks or prospects with all this cap space. Gotta think Ramo's getting traded this summer to make room for Ortio.
