The optimistic feeling after the Bieksa trade crushed by the Kassian trade.

Kassian is obviously running out of time but trading away a young guy with potential (when we're supposed to be re-tooling) for a grinder on the down-swing of his career is ridiculous... us adding a 5th is laughable.

Benning really needs to be fired. The thought of him trading one of our good prospects or Tanev for a shit return is going to give me nightmares every day that he remains our GM.

Kassian was literally gift wrapped a ton of opportunities to perform and he decides to tease us with his inconsistency all day everday visiting the doge house. He Didn't work out well with Willie and few other coaches neways.

At least Prust/Dorsett can help each other protect the nucks prospects when 1 of them is in the box. Jaja

With the competiton getting stronger this season, and much harder to make playoffs. I think it's a great move to give more than usual # of prospects to gain experience w/ protection. Next year ton of contracts are up, so benning has much more flexibility, like re sign Prust for 8mil/8yrs huehue

It's a nice thought but there are no room for prospects. Our roster is full of veteran forwards that Benning doesn't wanna trade:

Sedin - Sedin - Vrbata
Higgins - Bonino - Burrows
Kenins - Horvat - Hansen
Prust - Vey - Dorsett

Kenins is the only new young guy but he already became a regular last season.

Guys like Baerstchi, Virtanen, McCann, Cassels, Gaunce, Grenier or whoever has a good pre-season have no spot.

One of Higgins or Burrows needs to be traded. Preferably both.
