Lukas Jasek, our 6th round pick (#174) seems interesting.

Smaller guy that can bulk up. Skill player with good hockey IQ.

He was projected to go in the 1st round about this time last year but apparently not enough scouts watched him (Czech league) and his stock fell.

Good high reward / low risk pick.


Dimitry Zhukenov @ round 4 seems decent too. I always wanted us to have a skilled Russian


Also drafted a couple D-men that have a Sbisa-like description. Go figure.



Boeser seems like a good pick but too but college players scare me.

Not bad contracts but I don't understand what these guys did to deserves raises over their qualifying offers.

Stanton and Weber strangely not QO'd. I really hope letting go of Weber doesn't mean Bieksa is staying. Also, with Stanton gone, we have no 4th LD.

Gotta hope Pedan or Hutton are ready to play some sheltered NHL minutes next year, which I highly doubt.

Did some quick calculations and we're so over the cap Hilarious considering how shitty our roster is.

Changes are definitely coming. We will probably have to trade someone who is currently on a 2M+ contract and/or let go of Richardson and Weber and replace them with guys that make less than 1M. Curious to see who becomes 4C if Richardson is gone.

A few prospects surprising at camp is the only way this season can be salvaged. Not from a success standpoint (doubt we make the playoffs), but when it comes to fan interest.

I'll still watch every game, of course, but if Horvat and Tanev are the only guys I look forward to watching, it's going to be a dreadful season.
