which is stupid, since there's no modern player who's going to have a bigger impact on the league than conn smythe had

They clean the trophies with Crosby's tears every year. I'm sure it was fine when PK got it. PK actually brought the value up of that trophy by a lot.

so, technically, the only "modern" players you could replace trophies with:

bobby hull = rocket richard, but richard is fine if he's counting as modern
bobby clarke = selke
hasek = vezina
orr = norris
hart = gordie howe/ovechkin
art ross = gretzky
lady byng = beliveau
jack adams = scotty bowman
ted lindsay = lemieux
king clancy = rocket richard
bill masterson = yzerman/pacioretty trophy

i probably missed some more
