Did you watch the game last night? Watching Krug get blown by on the boards when any other NHL defenseman puts his body into the guy to stop him. That's Krug in a nut shell. I don't care what some analytics site says about it.

He's a liability 5 on 5. He down right kills you in OT, literally unplayable actually. Its great that he has a shot and makes good passes on the PP, but call me crazy but I like my DEFENSEman to play actual DEFENSE. Let's not even try to count how many times he turns the puck over. He's trash. I'd trade him in a heartbeat.

I'd like Lucic for nostalgia, but no denying 6$mil a year is tough to swallow, I also said a comparable enforcer, Wayne Simmonds maybe? Maybe we can send them Backes another 6$mil a year guy. We need the toughness that Lucic brings. But I guess you like seeing Bergeron bodied and out for a month, because no body is afraid or retaliation. krug is an elite puck moving defenseman, he spends a lot of time with the puck on his stick, so yes the puck has a high potential for turnover off his stick, that being said the nhl has recorded 13 turnovers off his stick in comparison marchand/pasta account for 60

he may not make the big body plays that other defensemen can but he'll pass the puck tape to tape and set up a huge number of scoring plays, as well as maintain offensive zone possession and shooting

this league is all about offense and skating, Krug checks both boxes, our d-corps would have nearly no scoring or offense other than mcavoy if we lost krug ( and since mcavoy is always IR, krug is our only offense on the blue line)

We have a literal team full of small undersized guys with skill who can skate, shoot, and move the puck. An entire team full of them actually. We don't need that from a primary defenseman who can't play a lick of defense.

I actually liked the way Grzelcyk ran the PP when he had a chance when Krug was hurt. I think he has potential there. He is also ironically enough, another wildly undersized Dman, but he actually is willing to play defense and body up on guys shockingly enough.

Just because I don't like Krug doesn't mean I said he has no value. I am promoting trading him, not just straight up cutting the guy.

krug was never touted as a shut down guy, ever

he is an offensive specialist, something this team needs desperately as only one line (the one he usually plays with) scores goals


There are two teams with a lower goals against than the Bruins, Nashville and Arizona. I would say we're doing just fine at not allowing goals.
