I find it tough as a general NJD hater (aside from Brodeur). You and I remember watching him make his legacy, but people who aren't as familiar with him just see an old guy past his prime clinging onto his past. He's Brett Favre. Everyone knows he's a legend but if he came up in a game of Celebrity, he'd be "that guy who took for-fucking-ever to retire."

i foresee this ending very poorly for brodeur and the blues if he actually does end up starting

tending is way more stressful on the body, he just cant maintain that flexibility and quickness at his age

Allen is almost splitting with Elliot right now so yeah

IF they sign brodeur, it's as a backup veteran to teach Allen and Elliott. Allen will get 90% of the starts and Brodeur will get 10%, a-la-devils-and-schneider. I get that he wants to play, but so did Hasek and he didn't cause this much drama. He quietly went overseas and played in lower leagues because he fucking loved the game.
