Toronto Maple Leafs forward Andreas Johnsson will require surgery after suffering a knee injury on Thursday night and is expected to miss a minimum of eight weeks, head coach Sheldon Keefe announced.

Jbo has successful ICD surgery. This is a heart defibrillator that monitors and corrects heart rhythm automatically.

Makes me really wonder how many of us need this without knowing.
I feel like if you go down at the wrong time, that's the end of life I guess. I workout alone in my basement a lot doing intensive cardio. Really kind of concerned lol....

What would be nice is if cross checks to the head or from behind or other equally dangerous plays where treated the same.

He could have saved $161,463.41 if he would have just cross checked him on the throat.

Its honestly ridiculous how a kick to the chest, while dangerous and malicious, is punished more heavily than a cross check the throat/neck, which could literally kill someone if something goes wrong.

Damn poor guy. Now benning will def make a trade for simmonds. Hope he doesn’t overpay.

im pretty sure kicking someone with a skate blade in the chest could kill someone if something goes wrong (arguably more likely than a crosscheck).
