Yandle forever on the block.

Staal sweepstakes would be entertaining for sure. Leafs, Oilers and of course Rangers will probably try hard.

Columbus then Nashville. I'm assuming Arizona is next.

Makes sense but if I was Carolina I would need one more piece, and a good one. I'd trade Jordan as well  Sharks or Caps, maybe? :P

I think he's better than his numbers indicate. 3rd/4th liner line-mates in PIT and about the same in CAR despite being on the 2nd line.

8 seasons in the NHL and he's never had capable wingers. He's also still only 26 years old, so he'd fit within the "retool".

j.staal at 6m for 9 more years is really good

give him capable wingers and he still produces 20+ goals and plays a good two-way game, thats the going price for them

j.staal stepped up big fucking time when malkin and crosby went down and he finally got the chance to play with good players

You need a good 2nd line C to succeed. Could trade Thornton for a good young winger and then stick Staal in between that guy and Hertl :P
