if they were to add a limit id hope for something if it goes into the 30+ years of age vs a straight up limit like 4 years or something...imo would just make players demand crazy money if they do good in the last year
like u cant sign a player past 35 with a 8 year contract or sumthin like if hes 29 the max u can go is 6 years if 32 the max is 3 years ect ect sumthin like that
would prevent the super long circumventing contracts and prob prevent a need for buyouts of players declining faster then expected

either way a compliance buyout period of like 2 years every 3 years or sumthin would keep shit interesting i mean even some good players were bought out this year
because the FA market is a lot deeper its not like theres 2 good players 20 teams want and u gotta pay 10m for them to even consider
teams can now make trades and fill needs then replace what was traded through free angecy... it changes the way the entire offseason turns out

make contract length 4 years with a RFA-clouse or something

so after 4 years you can be resigned as a RFA or traded away
