Made well over 100 million dollars playing baseball and it went all down the drain when he signed an absurd contract with the State of Rhode Island to fund his video game, and despite it being a commericial success and selling millions of copies, all the money got sucked out when it didn't reach an outlandish target, and suddenly a company he invested a hundred million dollars in is bankrupt and he is too. A little closer to home you've got Luc Robitaille who had his LA home repossesed and was forced to move back to Quebec and live in a "modest" sized house (Still pretty big I hear).
