Alfie wouldn't play for Philly anyways. It's Detroit or retirement for him right now.

Everyone wants to go to Philly.. Where have you been?

Damn, lots of shots being fired.

for sure
surprised they dont up it to 4m or even 5m 3.5 seems low for his potential and 6.5 seems high... they should even out in the middle
its only going to be a bridge anyways 2 years then he can ask for like 7m if hes proven he can repeat

“What’s interesting is people talk who really don’t know the CBA or just want to see something happen. They say, ‘Well just meet halfway. Give him $4 million or $4.5 million.’ “ Davidson said. “That doesn’t make sense. You don’t just give him an extra million or two. A lot of people say it who are writers, broadcasters, fans…they don’t understand the process. They don’t understand the CBA. It’s sitting there. It’s a document. What are we supposed to do, give in when we have rights? Give in when they have rights? Just give in? It doesn’t make sense.”

he can understand it all he wants doesnt change the fact they are lowballing him and hes not going to take it lol
it does make sense give him the extra mill and sign him to the bridge to see how good he really is hes worth it and they have the cap space its not like their pushed against the ceiling lol
this is just a fail attempt at trying to make everybody but him look bad when really this is all him sounds like hes not even willing to negotiate and says we dont know what were talking about to cover his ass in his own mind
if it comes down to it he will prob get an offersheet for 4+ and whats cbj going to do? match it so why not do it now n get it over with instead of looking like a fool in the media dragging this out

How dumb can Johansen's agent be? Subban took the bridge and got a dream payday afterwards. Bob won a frickin' Vezina and took a $5M bridge, and will probably get a paycheck thrown at him next season. If Johansen takes $4M and keeps showing his goods, he'll get paid $7M+ easily on a longer deal. But if he misses play time and doesn't play as well he'll miss on waaaay more money than the agent is splitting hairs over.

in this article where the gm is blasting the agent they even say cbj offered 3.5 and seems pretty set on it is it really the agent? sure 6.5 is to much but is 3.5 really enough for a 30g 60pt player?
shit toronto gave clarkson 5.2 for 1 30g season and hes old and proven hes not a 30g scorer pens gave sutter 3.3 2 year for 30pts and there much closer to the cap ceiling
if cbj doesnt up their offer somebody will with an offer sheet lol

RFA compared to UFA..

Oilers offered very similar for Clarkson

edit: also, if you're using Clarkson's contract to get more money, you know you don't deserve it

i said sutters too o.O
and yeah hes rfa i guess cbj might be lucky cuz 3.3-5m is a 1st and 3rd in compensation i didnt think it would be a 1st starting that low
still he looked pretty good some teams might feel hes a better prospect/young player then those picks could produce them specially if there a team that can likely make a good run
