Prospect Update:

- Virtanen really had a crappy end to his season and kept on playing crappy to start the playoffs. Better in his last two games (3 assists) but had nothing in the first two. His team should be advancing to the next round of the WHL playoffs soon.

- Hutton scored his first goal as a pro for Utica.

- Shinkaruk is starting to rack up the points in Utica, hopefully this isn't just a hot streak.

- Baerstchi 13 points in 12 games in Utica.

- Subban's team is about be knocked out of the OHL playoffs, I assume he'll be signed shortly after.

- McCann and Cassels are also in the OHL playoffs and seem to be playing fine.

- Jensen's progression (or lack thereof) continues to disappoint.

- Utica is looking really strong in general heading into the playoffs now that the Canucks are healthy and the Comets have most of their players back. We stole Kenins but gave them Clendening in exchange.

@ CHI

- Not the best start but better than in some recent games, and of course we lose. I guess we have to play like shit in the first period if we want a chance at winning. Wouldn't really worry about this loss though, just a tough team on a tough road-trip. We did have a decent amount of quality scoring chances but Crawford played well.

- Lack was good, this one's not on him. Hawks just had too many quality scoring chances.

- Sedins created more in this game but still couldn't produce. Wouldn't be surprised if they hit the score-sheet next game.

- Horvat line was not good. Kenins struggled in general and Horvat was arguably at fault for two goals against. Zone-time wise it was one of their worst games as a unit.

- The Sbisa - Bieksa pairing continues to suck and it's hard to understand why it still exists. Seems like 80% of their shifts are spent chasing in the D-zone. It also doesn't help that Willie often puts them out with the defensively weak 4th line.

Not even 2 days til the next game. 12 Noon PST start in Winnipeg on Saturday. With 2 wins already in the bank I would say it's a successful road-trip regardless of the result against the Jets.
