Leafs were outplayed, simple as that. Every stat shows that (aside from goals which is the ultimate indicator) They won, yes, but thinking they played even remotely close to the level of the Bruins is laughable. They’re continuing to ride Andersen’s amazing streak, which will eventually run out.



The words of someone who clearly has never played in any form of high level sports - better team does not always win. Especially in a game as high variance as hockey where one bounce can drastically change the outcome of a game

So Bruins outplayed the leafs the entire 60 minutes of the hockey game? I have a hard time believing that.
Aside from some key saves Andersen made, the Bruins really didn't even play that well outside the 2nd period where they rolled the same top line on every shift in desperation mode for 10 minutes straight. (Which they never capitalized on once), not to mention the only goal they scored was off a faceoff.. and Kapanen just missed on a short handed goal as well?

The Leafs are the faster team, and once the Bruins are tired, you take advantage. Simple. Hold the fort, then beat them with speed.
So if the Leafs ride "Andersen's amazing streak" for another 13 games and win the Stanley Cup, will you say they didn't deserve it?

a lot of talk about andersen but in the final 10 minutes of the game last night rask made like 3 or 4 massive stops that kept them in it

it's the playoffs... nobody gives a fuck who "deserves" to win. Any team will want the 16 wins in any shape or form for the cup.

yea that i was thinking.

bruins only had 1 shot in the first 10-15 mins or so of the 3rd. leafs were playing fairly well surprisingly.

Meanwhile Tampa is sitting around comfortably.
