Dadonov tripped right in front of the ref...no call

Joe Pavelski takes a questionable hit to the head and has to be helped off the ice(misses the rest of the game) and it ends up being off-setting minors because they reviewed it called Dumba on "roughing" but then gave a 2 minute minor for instigating to Domi and a 10 minute game misconduct. Stars end up losing Domi for 10 minutes(Pavelski rest of the game) and get a 4 on 4 out of all that(no advantage). Dumba was literally laughing in the penalty box with a big smile after he heard the call...

Ironic because prior to that the Stars were 2/2 on the PP and scored each goal right off the faceoff(9 seconds---2 goals).....After that point it seems like the refs just let everything go.

Either call everything or call nothing

that dumba hit was fine.

bad outcome from when joes head hit the ice is the reason why everyone is freaking out. if gets up and continues to play, no one bats an eye


also, you seem to forget to mention when suter gave a few cross checks to kirill without a call lol. out of everything, the hit and the cross checks is what i saw most on twitter

Don't know why you give Domi a 10 minute misconduct because he sees his teammate motionless on the ice and comes over to defend his teammate....

Imagine Benn did that to Kaprizof he would've gotten a 4 minute double minor guaranteed and probably a league review/fine for "targeting"

Sorry for the slang what I'm saying is that the NHL refs are like the NFL refs. NFL refs protect the QB and make them untouchable because they are the largest portion of offensive production.

Now with players like McDavid, McKinnon, etc. the refs act the same way. Not only do players not "hit" those players because a goon will fight them from their team but also because they risk a soft call penalty.

So what I'm asking you to envision is Dumba throwing that hit he did on Pavelski on McDavid. Do you really think at home in Edmonton McDavid motionless on the ice after a hit isn't going to warrant at least a minor penalty?

You know damn well at least one Oilers player is going to do what Domi did and start wailing on Dumba right after the hit.

Because McDavid is the NHL's cash cow and the main reason new fans are watching hockey calls will always go his way.

Every time I watch an Oilers game they can barely score an even strength goal but somehow 6 penalties are called and they get 3 PP goals.

There's a reason they'll lose to the Kings and it's because the refs aren't going to give the Oilers the same number of calls as they do during the regular season and the Oilers will choke because of it.

I enjoy every sport less and less as they "pussify" the sport. Something I never thought the NHL would do.
