Yeah, Bourdon is a real wild card. I want to see him healthy though. Great person. Gervais' contract will likely be buried to open up a little more space if he isn't dealt. Flyers will have room to make things happen still, and as a fan I'm pretty excited for next year. I just hope they can stay healthy this time around.

Gervais also has the same ahl/nhl salary so his cap would be the same under the new CBA, burying him wouldn't open up any space (unless you mean opening space on the roster vs cap space). Or am I missing something?
Either way flyers are in a fine position, as long as they don't take advantage of the LTIR like I said before, I'll be semi-rooting for them after the wings.

You may be right, I just went to capgeek and demoted him. Showed more cap room, but I think that's a flaw. Anything under 900k doesn't make a difference, right? Still. They can get around it.

I wish capgeek would take Akeson and McGinn off the roster though. They won't make the team. Laughton hsa a good chance to, but even he is a wildcard. Especially if they resign Gagne.

Paul Holmgren is trending on twitter lol

How much you think Gags will take to sign? 3.5 cap hit but only 2.5m salary last year. Think they can get him for 2 or under?
If so, trade coburn and you have room for another big signing.

Just pray Mason will work out

He already said before the end of last year that he is willing to make things work to stay here. He said money isn't that important to him anymore, and he just wants to stay in the city. 1.5M-2M a year would be fantastic. I just hope Homer actually does sign him. They were suppose to talk over the weekend.

I don't know who they plan on bringing in to play with Mason. I really don't want Thomas or anyone well past their prime. Mason is going to be the starter by the looks of things, but they better bring in someone who can relieve him and not play hm to death like they did with Bryz.

Yeah, I assume that "take a pay cut" refers to salary more than cap. But taking a pay cut on 3.5m vs taking a pay cut on 2.5m are definitely different things. Hopefully he meant salary.
