Regardless, Holmgren will have to do more than IR Pronger and move Schenn to minors for a game or w.e

Can't see Gagne, Shelley, Knuble, Hall, Gustafsson, Walker, Foster, Huskins AND a possible backup/starting goaltender

What?? We aren't signing Knuble, Hall, Walker, Foster, or Huskins, and we already qualified Gustafsson. Just stop.

In other news, Leafs will buy out Komisarek

That's fine, but that doesn't disprove what I was saying . .
Gagne
Shelley
Start/backup goaltender

-400k capspace

going to have to move someone
Unless you want to use Boucher/Heeter/Stolarz lol

Shelley isn't signing either. If they resign Gagne it will be for cheap. And everyone knows they need to get rid of a d-man. If it is Coburn like rumored, that's another $4.5

They have 2.5m in cap space. 775k, 900k, 1.106m won't be on the books next year with mcginn, akeson and laughton in the minors to start the season. Plus they'll trade off 2 d-men to have 6, which is another 1.5m if it's Gervais and Bourdon. So they may end up with about 4m in cap space at the LEAST.

Pierre LeBrun ‏@Real_ESPNLeBrun 24m
So between what's left that Tampa has to pay in buyout plus his new deal in Philly, Lecavalier has $55.17 M coming his way

Can also tell you that Dallas and Montreal were very seriously in the running to the end.

Bourdon is still recovering from a concussion. Likely will not be ready by the start of the year, and when he does return it will be for the Phantoms.

His AHL cap hit is the same as his NHL cap hit in 13/14. So if they keep him his 600k hit is still on the books. Depending on who they sign that could be moot though.
I will be unhappy if flyers have any less than 5m in cap space after Pronger is on the IR though.

Yeah, Bourdon is a real wild card. I want to see him healthy though. Great person. Gervais' contract will likely be buried to open up a little more space if he isn't dealt. Flyers will have room to make things happen still, and as a fan I'm pretty excited for next year. I just hope they can stay healthy this time around.

Hey look everyone on jsp seems to know the Flyers better than all the flyers fan...

:P

Nice signing Homer. Anyone who says Schenn isnt as dominant as he was with the leafs... Are you kidding? Schenn was benched alot with the Leafs while he had top pairing minutes at the end of the year and he looked really solid. Coburn was considered a Canada Olympic roster spot potential by some TSN specialist as well. With Streit (help on the PP) and Timmonen healthy we got a solid top 4

Mezaros, Grossman (hopefully hes gone), Gustafsson

Our D is really good compared to most D in the league.

And im also excited for next year, and for the rest of the summer too

And Philadelphia trumped them with the NMC.
