Thompson coached the Windsor Spitfires to the 2017 Memorial Cup. He also coached the Chicago Wolves in the AHL, & then moved into an assistant role in San Jose. He stepped down in 2021 because apparently due to a "medical exemption" he was not able to be vaccinated for COVID-19.

sounds like an offensive specialists which goes to what torts said he wanted to bring in specialists to help him coach properly and we brought in brad shaw from the nucks for defense and this guy for the offense
curious if the vaccination status will cause any issues hopefully not

sure hes not the all star top pair guy he was expected when drafted but i think hes a solid 2nd pair guy hes pretty good defensively he can hit wins puck battles clears the net
and i think once the team bounces back his stats will reflect that and who knows maybe torts brings out more of that top line potential in him

i didnt see a lot of risto cause i try to avoid sabers games but with how much hate he had i was expecting a way worse player i personally dont get all the hate on him
its like people need to accept hes not that top pair guy and stop hating on him for it
