The most efficient way is to scoop the creatine in your mouth, swish water and repeat until you have taken reccomended amount. I'm being serious here. Most monohydrate creatine don't mix well with water and end up getting wasted on the bottom of the bottle. Especially with allmax.
Theres no window in which you should ingest protein and I believe same goes with creatine. What I did was to take my creatine in the morning to give myself time to drink the sufficient amount of water for the day. Good idea to stop 2 hours before bed or you'll end up waking up in the middle of the night needing to take a piss. Then I took my protein when I ate my post workout meal.o

And also when you start the creatine you need to load so your taking 5g (4 time a days so 20g total) for 7 days. Then you take 5g per day.
With certain creatine brands, you don't need to load.
