If none of those three make the roster, you'll need to sign two more forwards which will probably cost more than those three - ie Gagne (more expensive than those three combined)

we have 22 players on the roster atm i believe you need 18 at the very least
we could send them down and free up the space and technically have a D on the roster fill a forward spot as long as we got 18 til a trade happens
e: and its super highly unlikely that a D man doesnt get moved... whether its a swap for a forward or for picks somebody is getting traded
gagne prob be cheap as balls he wants to finish out his career in philly and prob take a nice discount for it

Gagne already said he will take a pay cut to stay. And with them three off the roster, they would have 6.8M to sign two forwards and a backup. Again, this is not taking the Pronger factor into effect, the fact that they still have to get rid of at least one defensman, Marc Andre Bourdon on the roster as well when he will either be with the phantoms or on LTIR, and any other moves that may come. They have plenty of cap space and options available to sign a player like Vinny.

10 Forwards
9 Dmen
1 Goalie

That's 2 forwards, 1 goalie that need to be signed with $6,963,145 ($4,181,478 + $775,000 + $900,000 + $1,106,667)

There's several scenarios here that could happen, but that's the current case

Back to my original point; I don't see Lecavalier in their for 6.9M with another forward & goalie - unless you take 3 dmen off the roster which very well may happen

again Pronger on LTIR frees up close to another $5M is space....
