projections are projections, but seriously, lets just stop drafting them at 18 then? let them play in the AHL till 23 then draft? :)

the nhl would prob lose a lot of its euro players palying in khl/sweden/finland leagues if that was to happen
by time the players are 23 and hitting his prime the khl or sumthin would prob be tossing enough money at them to just stick around

i was being sarcastic over your hate on "projection"

the draft at 18 is young though, even if its nice, it feels like if only 2-3 players are ready to step right in when they get drafted, its too early

however, they get nutrition and real training etc so w/e

i dont hate projections i just dont like how projections to some mean thats what hes going to be 100%
even look at bob... he was undrafted signed at 22 in the khl played 3 years in the nhl before hitting 25 ... lack is 25 with 2 years of ahl experience good or not i just dont tihnk hes in a situation to become more then a good backup
i mean sure it does happen look at thomas who the fuck expected tim thomas to come out and do what he did ?its the nhl anything can happen lol
maybe lack woulda had nhl expereince if the nucks didnt have lu and cory...but if they felt he was that good dont u think one of them woulda got moved sooner?

i think the draft age is fine guys like crosby ovy stamkos... they were ready and lots of players are in the nhl within 3 years of being drafted

yes, but everything is a projection until they hit it

läck havent had a legit shot at the NHL, that might be a reason? thats all im saying

i dont usually care much for swedish players at all, but being down the depth chart have hurt more people than just läck... imagine being lindholm, behind 10 years of staals forced into a 3C role

yeah but if they felt he was ready t ocome up dont u think they woulda made space? or been able to trade him to another team that felt the same way?
i mean look at bishop guy put up stellar #s in the ahl and everybody was like " this guy should be in the nhl"... you dont hear that from ppl about lack other then nucks fans
teams were interested and for good reason ... bisho pwas traded becasue teams wanted him n sens had to much depth ... lack seems to have no interest from other teams ... if he was good enough other teams woulda tried to nab him while the nucks had cory/lu still imo

they have been trying to make space by trading luongo

läck havent played in the nhl compared to bishop etc

läck probably won't be elite but he can be a servicable starter

why would anyone care about läck outside of canucks organisation? noone talks about laughton, cousins etc from flyers organisation unless you specifically talk about it

They've been trying to make space... problem was we had 2 starting goalies in the NHL. Also, they were expecting Lack to be ready enough to be an NHL back-up but he was injured all year.

He'll likely have the job this upcoming season.

Also, I'd like to know who the fuck your sources are, 'cause you seem pretty confident that other teams haven't had interest. lol

Just because there aren't rumors about players, doesn't mean GMs aren't talking about them... especially prospects.

becasue when a player like bishop is good enough to be in the nhl but hes not they get talked about and trade rumours start coming up ect ect
why would they be talked about ? they were in the ahl and really didnt do good enough to stand out like " wow look at him hes dominating the league"
bishop was dominating the league and got called up and traded for an nhl role..lack hasnt proven he can even dominate the ahl like an nhl goalie should be able to do

if lack does turn out tho bonus for the nucks they need all the help they can get with MG as the gm

@TSNBobMcKenzie: WSH puts Jeff Schultz on unconditional ($100) waivers for purposes of buyout. Ditto for NYI and Rick DiPietro.
@TSNBobMcKenzie: Hal Gill (NSH), Greg Zanon (COL), Matt Hunwick (COL) on regular waivers.
@TSNBobMcKenzie: Kris Russell (STL) on regular waivers. Keith Ballard (VAN) clears regular waivers.
