He's going to be Hodgson 2.0 and he and his parents will pester your gm for ice time.

Baertschi - Bonino - Vrbata next season if we resign him and he doesn't bust

Or better yet

Baertschi - Horvat - Vrbata

No way

Kenins - Horvat - Virtanen for the next decade.

Baertschi - McCann - Kassian :D

I'm still in denial about Kenins cuz he just came from fucking no-where.

A fairly quite deadline for the Canucks. That being said I am satisfied.

I was fearful we would trade propsects/picks for rental players and compromise our future.

Thankfully that was not the case.

We made some minor trades, along with acquiring Sven Baertshci.

A good trade for us in my opinion. Acquiring a former 1st rounder is for a 2nd rounder is a good trade imo, considering the upside this guy has.

This guy put up scary good numbers in junior and has played here locally, so the transition should go a bit easier if he makes his way to the big squad, which I think he will at some point.

From what I have been reading he has been playing fine but it appears Calgary has given up on him. Hopefully this will be our gain.

For the first time in a long time our prospect depth is quite good imo, so I look forward to the future for us.

^ Just think what our prospect depth would have been like if we were sellers today... jesus. A decent prospect pool would have turned into a great one after this year's draft. Potentially could have had three 1st round picks and a couple 2nds.

Sharks visit tonight. They played well yesterday after a team meeting but it'll be a back-to-back with travel for them.

A good start is always important but it could be key in this game because it'll make a tired team chase the score and it'll put doubt in their goaltending which they already lack confidence in.

Some talk about Markstrom possibly starting but I think it's a bad idea. Lack wasn't great last game but throwing in Markstrom against the Sharks could be a disaster. Just save him for next game against the Coyotes.

Edler is back and Tanev is close!

---------------------

Utica gets some heavy reinforcements, and they need them badly; they've been under .500 over the last ~30 games.

They get Biega and Corrado back, Baertschi is a big addition and although Conacher for Jeffrey looks even on paper, Conacher is more of a skilled guy compared to Jeffrey who is a grinder.

Like the Canucks, Utica is filled with grinders and needs more skill players, so Baertschi and Conacher are a huge boost in that area.
