Crosby only played 22 game that season though, didn't he ?

Tavares still played 59 games, it's not crazy to think he would have sustained that level of play for the rest of the season.

yeah, if you exclude 15 games from girouxs, the first 15, you'd have a 1.26 pace? or wahtever it was

But he played them so why would you exclude them?

Also Tavares played 22 less games than giroux. Had 4 goals and 16 less assists

well he had like 7pts in those 15 game sjust no goal til 16th...which is amazing cuz he still tied his career high @28
he def lit up the league once he got healthy though i think only crosby was scoring more points then him for a while i think there was a month he outproduced everybody too
i actually thought he was going to pass getzlaf ... came up 1 pt short though



he was playing hurt and couldnt shoot for shit with the wrist/hand injury to start the year he took like 10 shots in those 15 games lol

you can use pace as a tool to make a point, but to say he's ppg because of it is wrong

Yeah and if you take out the worst 15 games for Tavares he'd have a 1.50 pace.

Giroux actually played those game, it's not fair to simply remove them.. In the game Tavares played, he scored at a better pace than Giroux last year. For all we know Tavares could have gone on a super hot streak and finish the year with 100 points

Not saying Giroux is bad or anything, I picked him quite high in my fantasy pool last year.. But I just think Tavares is a better choice even though it's extremely close.

giroux palyed those gmaes with a fucked up hand/wrist its not really fair to include those either
thats like if tavares continued to play hurt you think he woulda kept the same pace?
even kessel for a while there he was producing some damn solid #s then jbell said he got hurt... he was playing but his #s went down becasue of w/e injury he had

You think players only play when they're 100% healthy ? His injury obviously wasn't that important if the medical staff let him start the season, it's not like they were in a playoff hunt or anything.
