currently arguing with reddit about how Matthias and higgins are not suitable linemates for Vrbata and how they're not offensively gifted.

@ NJD

- Just an awful first half of the game. Didn't even look like fatigue, just terribly sloppy. Picked it up quite a bit in the second half but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback.

- Lack let in 3 bad goals and then settled down and kept us in the game. Still, the loss is mostly on him.

- Sedins + Kassian looked great when they were put together after a line juggle. Hopefully we see this line even when Burrows is back.

- McMillan - Matthias - Dorsett was the 4th line and it was a complete train-wreck. Probably Dorsett's worst game of the year and McMillan looks like a total plug so far.

- Kenins - Horvat - Hansen line was our only one going early but it looked like they ran out of gas midway through. Still, Horvat was pretty noticeable throughout the game.

- Higgins, Vey and Vrbata were just okay at best.

- Defense again held up pretty well considering the circumstances. Biega had his first off game and Weber was shaky, but I guess that's expected when a #6/7 guy is playing #2/3 minutes. The other 4 guys were relatively steady.

- Another great job by Willie putting Vrbata out as the 4th forward late in the game but then he decides to keep Kassian on the bench and put Hamhuis on the PP. I don't know how he can make such good decisions and such awful decisions in the same game.

Sigh, big win last night against the Rags washed away.

Visiting the Islanders on Sunday.

He wanted these lines

Called him out on how retarded it is to put vrbata with grinders

then he said higgins and matthias aren't grinders and are our #4/2 goal scorer.

To be fair, with our team, if you're not with the Sedins you're going to be with grinders lol.

@ NYI

- Isles were in control most of the game, we got out-shot by about 15. It isn't really surprising that a team that skates and hits as well as them played good against our depleted lineup. IMO the luck/bounces were definitely on our side but our special teams should also get credit.

- Miller was very solid until he got injured at the start of the 2nd period. Lack came in and was great, definitely making up for a bad game @ NJD.

- Sedins + Kassian were easily our best line. The Sedins' cycle game lets Kassian control and protect the puck behind the net, something he's always been good at.

- The other three lines were all meh, nobody really stood out. The Horvat line with another nice goal but outside of that they weren't overly noticeable.

- Hamhuis with another beast game, Stanton was excellent (almost 23 minutes), Sbisa and Biega were solid, Weber was up and down and Clendening was very bad.

Miller won't dress next game so Lack will start against Boston on Tuesday and we'll probably have to call up Markstrom. Gotta wonder if the Miller injury, even if it's not serious, scares Benning away from trading one of our goalies at the deadline.
