I would hope that is the case. For myself I am not even concerned if I get the virus, but I visit my 85 year old Grandma somewhat frequently.
If I gave it to her without knowing it I would never be able to forgive myself.
Depends on the employer. Some wont pay if you leave but EI is opened for those who quarantine with valid reason from what I heard.
Where I work if I meet any of the federal or provincial government quarantine reason they will force me to take off with full pay.
I will be working the next 2 weeks from home since schools and daycares are closed (have 2 young daughters to care for)
