For all the effort and difficulty they are, this little thing has seriously made me 100x happier. She's passed out under my desk on my feet right now  Don't care if she actually likes me or just panders to the food-giver, it's a good feeling.

Got a gentle leader coming in tomorrow. For those who don't know what it is, it puts a padded strap over the nose so you can control the head while you walk.
Conditions dogs to keep their heads up and trot along with you rather than trying to sniff every tuft in the grass. Just a bit nervous she won't give a shit about it then run at something and hurt her neck :\ the blogs and humane society pages all say it's great though.

Obviously we'll do some hallway training before getting into the high stimulation stuff so I know if it's dangerous for her. It's just so difficult to control her after almost 2 months and it's dangerous if she decides to pull in the direction of a car. If this doesn't work I'll have to hire a specialist.

I put one of my old dogs on a leash in the back yard one time and before I could trot her out to show the limits, she jetted on me and I watched the dog strangle herself real bad when the end of the leash came and she was in a full sprint :(

I felt so bad! It was awful...

make sure they get familiar with the length -_-

do they still hump everything if they're neutered?

also with a female don't you run the risk of a pregnant dog or is there a procedure that's done for that too?

She was fixed to not have puppies. I originally wanted a male dog because we could be "buddies" then I looked it up and females are easier to train in general, and are better for apartment living. Both have great qualities, so I searched on both.
Originally I was looking for a male to be my "buddy," she immediately rolled on her back for a belly rub and started licking my face. Sold.

Started my new diet and split today to get in shape for wedding season. 1800-2000 calories T.T fish served over veggies twice a week, whey fruit smoothies, the works. My poops are gonna be weird for a bit. Hopefully I hit my target well ahead of the first one and can go back to maintaining.

Anyone have any good 500ish calorie meals? I googled a bit but all these recipes mean I either eat the same thing 3 days in a row or waste perishables.

Not exactly a recipe per say but some ideas

Stir fry
Chinese chicken salad
Roast chicken (onion carrot taters)
Meat loaf cupcakes(use a muffin tin, with mashed sweet potatoes)
Red wine braised beef
Fish tacos (not fryed)
Mushroom/garlic stuffed pork loin
Lettuce wrap fajitas
Kebabs witch choice of meat
Root veggie stew

I'm sure there's more, but that's off the top of my head and some of that we make regularly
