I play up in Columbia now. Had one here in GA, the last game (rink closed for indoor trampoline place) we had dudes actually scrap. Guy ran our goaltender and his brother took exception to that. We all ended up screwing around at the end though to get misconducts so we could all say we got tossed in our last game there. I wear a cage though, got to protect my pretty face.

Subbed on another team, won 2 of 3 games and the third was after ten minutes of OT. It's so fucking weird, the two best guys on our wednesday team are arguably the best on their respective thursday teams and we can't win shit.

Just signed up for a 4-game tryout on a B-team for one of the most competitive leagues in the area. Still ball hockey but this is played on a full size rink, with melamine boards, glass, and everything. Right now the league I'm in plays on a basketball court in a community center gym, barely big enough to play 3-on-3 and we play 4-on-4. Should be nice to actually make plays and have positioning matter.

 man you have no idea how frustrating this other league is. The rink is so small that I can probably cover a quarter of the defensive zone standing still. The only way to score is to dump it, hope your guy is faster, and hope the ball magically goes in off someone when they center it. Either that or take a shot from half court and hope the goalie screws up if it even makes it on net.

I do wanna get back into an ice league. Been going to drop in on Saturdays and I'm feeling a more comfortable again after it being a while.

I've been playing drop in hockey and I sub for a couple teams, ice only

Being a goalie is great because you can get into a lot of different leagues, teams, etc. just by being a rent-a-goalie

Maybe next winter I'll go for a full time team, you know sign the long term deal
