First 3 months done off of mostly diet (running hurt my joints), the next 3 I've been running 3-6 times a week as well as lifting weights.
All while eating a caloric deficity

Edit: Maybe a little motivation for you guys who have fallen out of shape! It's never too late to write a new ending
Nice progress! If running hurts your joints, I'd recommend using an elliptical. You get the same general movement patterns but it's a much smoother motion so it puts less pressure on joints/bones.
I had to switch to an elliptical for a while since too much tennis was taking a toll on my shins due to the starting/stopping abruptly.
