Looks like Rolling Stone has Slash at #65 of the top 100. Not really a fan, but I guess they are. Good list.

You're saying Jack White is a better guitarist than the likes of Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, Eddie Van Halen, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy, Carlos Santana, Joe Satriani, Tony Iommi, Prince, Yngwie Malmsteen, etc, etc, etc. People that have revolutionized music. Playing guitar is more than just coming up with a few catchy riffs.

Alive at this time. Not same as greatest of all time.
Alive at this time is not the same as when they (the ones you mentioned ) were on their prime.

While I agree with you, I do think you do not give Jack White enough credit, he has done more than create a few catchy riffs
