If you ever go to Kansas City, make a trip to Westport. There's a dive bar (Westport Saloon) there that, on every Tuesday, has improv blues. Rotations of 6 people (like 20 musicians come every night) who aren't in a band together or anything like that, one lays down a riff and the rest just go with it. It's fucking amazing.

i love stuff like that, wish we had a place like it close to home

ive been to Nashville, Austin, new Orleans, and Memphis and they all have places like that and i could be there everyday and never get tired of it

I went to bb kings blues club in west palm beach 2-3 years ago. He wasn't there, but the place was awesome

I went to KFC like 4 years ago, Colonel wasn't there but the chicken was ok

that's too bad, last time I went to KFC he made my chicken.

He was one of those guys who could lay down an absolutely unbelievable solo and then people were MORE excited for when he started singing instead.
Fuck, I need to hook up my record player and get some blues music now.

/e yeah I'm watching him with other guys like Clapton, and even as good as he was you could still hear the pluckiness of the guitar strings. None of that with BB.

Your record player isn't hooked up? For shame.

It's plugged in but it has absolute shit built-in speakers. I need to cut some speaker wire and it hook up to the surround sound. Essentially decoration at this point.
I used to use a really nice one but it was gonna cost like $150 to replace the belt and the needle :\ I'll get around to fixing that one up eventually.
