Meh. I wouldnt skip duty tbh. If everyone who thought their time was too valuable to serve tossed their summons, you'd have the high school drop outs with nothing better to do running our legal system. Do you wanna be on trial for something you didn't do and put your life in Cletus joe-bob's hands?

Even if it was some white on white crime I think it would work?

The problem with that advice is what if they do press you for ignoring it and don't agree with the excuse that you didn't get them. This advice could work 95% of the time but what about the other 5%? People have definitely got in trouble for skipping jury duty in the past, even if it's not everyone.



It doesn't work like that. Does in TV and movies, but if you're purposively saying stupid things to get out of duty (and the judge doesn't believe you're genuine) you can get in trouble.

Well if he claimed to be racist, it could cause conflict with either defendant, prosecutor, witness, judge, etc.

youre a perfect example of someone who is likely a worse candidate for jury duty than those very high school drop outs, despite your willingness to participate.

god forbid you were part of a jury assigned to someone who was lesser of a human being than you due to their lacking of an education and unapparent supremacist views. you would probably want a life sentence handed out for those reasons alone.
