India just built the largest solar plant and it produces 648MW and it cost $679M



Shepard Energy Centre creates 873MW out of a $1.4B site/ is n.gas fired

so for the cost of one shepard site producing 873 MW they can build 2 solar plants which would essentially be 1296MW

factor in some modifications for our climate etc. if you will, but at the end of the day we can push more power for less money with solar

Also, the lumens which hit Alberta, are not nearly strong enough, this is because of how low in the sky the sun orbits during winter. But ya. You didn't account for that either
