jbell i deleted ur pm without reading it

At this point r+l=j theory isn't really spoilers

They've hinted at it pretty damn strongly in the show

It's never explicitly proven int he books, so the hints in the show are comparable to what we know from the books

I don't know what this means lol.

Like I said, I think the books just go into way more detail, and continues with each and every character. In the show we're just sticking with the main cast and everyone else is getting forgotten. Gendry for example. He plays a big part, but yet what the fuck happened to him? The books also introduce so many more characters around this time, and yet none of that is happening.

Fair enough, I'd like there to be an increase in the characters but I'm not sure the TV fanbase could handle it...

I know people were absolutely shocked and appalled on a different forum I post on when someone mentioned that Oberyn used poisoned weapons. I assumed everyone knew this because it clearly shows someone wiping his blade with something plus the episode was named "The Mountain and the VIPER". Blows my mind that people miss such obvious shit.

Obviously the books are better, there's no question

We knew last year that the show would end before the books. It will become more and more tangential

At this point they should almost be treated as separate entities.

Makes me wonder how the TV audience will even react to r+l=j, most probably won't understand either what it means or why it's important.

TV fanbase definitely cannot handle it

Sometimes even blatant hints and plot points are missed by some of my friends who are show-only watchers

It got to a point where I would pause every 10-15 minutes just to give 2-3 minutes of background info on the history of the characters/story/relevant info... enough to convince 2 to start reading the books lol

Is no one else starting to feel like the people spouting off about how "THIS WASN'T IN THE BOOKS" or "THIS WASN'T IN THE SHOW" are literally becoming the worst human beings alive?
Get it through your skull that books are different from TV shows. You can't get everything you want because guess what, every single fucking person who read the books liked different things about them and visualized things differently. Find something a bit less pathetic to whine about.

Learn your lesson from the last 30 book adaptations that fell short. It's a different medium and things work differently.
