We have a Ribfest at the end of the month. I plan on spending $50+ on BBQ sauce alone. Bought some last year and haven't been able to match the flavors since.

I used to turn my nose up at the prices at these things but then I started loosening my wallet and holy crap it's so good. Henry's has a BBQ sauce this year that I want to try, I think it's like $8 for a bottle.

Vendors were selling their sauce for $5 a bottle at the fest. For how damn good it is, it's a steal. I've tried all the local stuff, and even the more expensive brands don't compare. Considering how much I bbq (I've already went through a tank and a half of propane this year) it is worth stocking up on.

For sure. Really goes to show how much it changes things to have someone making a sauce for the sole purpose of making something delicious. None of this cost saving, ROI bullshit.

If I had some patience I would make my own sauce and perfect it to my tastes, but that's a hell of a lot of work. Rather just buy it.

You need a LOT of patience  I ferment my ingredients for 6 months. Got a batch of red chiles mixed with garlic that should be ready in a few weeks. Now that I have the new blender I can really get the consistency I want.
