How do you not lose them/break them? I haven't kept a pair of sunglasses for more than six months. Always lose them or break them. $10 pair is about all I buy.

Buy a better pair and you'll care more. 95 percent of the time I only use them for driving or boating. I just put them back in the case when done.

So I bought a mic for Skype. It's a cheap 5 or 6 dollar mic but it's supposed to be good for the price: Zalman ZM-Mic 1

Having an issue:

It only works if it's literally right next to my mouth. Even a few inches away it doesn't pick anything up. It's supposed to pick up clear sound from a couple feet away. All the volume settings seem fine.

Any ideas?

i don't use skype much but don't they have sensitivity settings?

so maybe your detection settings on skype are low?

Turn up sensitivity. If that doesn't work, frankly it's a shit mic. Drop 30-40 on a mic/cam and you're good for a while.
