wanted to have the picks this year not next

yea maybe an extra first round if there was an offer sheet but that's IF the offer was over 7.2, he wanted to accelerate the process, the scouting staff and management want to draft heavy this year

the trades were good but they sure messed up those picks...they could have easily gotten those players much later in the 1st round

Players they pick would have been sure 2nd rounder or probably. They could easily have traded down 1 or 2 of their 1st to get more picks and get the exact same players AND more prospects.
