I don't get why the Canucks would offer that much to draft Reinhart.

Flyers and Isles are also making offers

Born in Vancouver. Honestly Reinhart-Horvat down the middle would be a really strong core to build around.

nylander is a top3 offensive player this draft - he was in talk for 1oa before this year, but fell off becuase shl/allsvenskan mess

our two top6 centers (bjugstad/barkov) are two way centers, so having a floating winger isnt that bad

why do you think its a really weak draft?

The skill level drops a lot after the top 4, and a hell of a lot more outside of the top 10. This is going to be an anything goes draft.

I don't reallly understand either

I think Shinkaruk is a real project though and being that it's a really weak draft, not sure who we'd take at 24th.

Though having Nylander/Virtanen at 6th would make me just as happy.

if i was a nucks fan i dont think id wanna give up the 6th shinkaruk and a 1st for the 1st overall thats like a 6th 24th and prob another to p10 for the 1st overall... overpay hard
i mean shit the 6th is only 5 spots back and another 1st+shinkaruk... if whoever you draft doesnt be a franchise type plyer the future just took a huge hit instead of having 3 good prospects

I'd rather have the 1st overall than the 6th + 24th and Shinkaruk personally.

Ehlers has as much upside as any of the guys in the top 4.

Yeah I feel the same. One of those 3 first round picks can turn out to be a great player, perhaps better than Reinhart. So many elite players in the league weren't 1st overall picks, they come from all over the 1st round.

if this draft was in 2012 or 2011, it wouldnt be classified as a "really weak draft", its between two elite drafts in 13 and 15 which makes it look like shit

a lot of "really weak" drafts turn out being pretty good a bunch of years later, there's no sure-fire stuff outside reinhart/ekblad

2011 was super weak draft though. Nobody but Landeskog in the first round living up to hype.
