It's been 7-8 years since hockey started becoming popular again in Chicago.
The whole "welcome to the bangwagon" insult is honestly just getting old.
Take your concerns up with Bill Wirtz.... Oh wait you can't...

The fans out here in LA have not been fans for 7-8 years. When I talk about bandwagons I am usually just trashing the sports culture out here lol.

Pretty much no chance you can keep Vermette. He's gonna cash in come free-agency.

Raise the cap by $2m  Vermette posted numbers that make him look like the 2nd line version of Toews. Can play both ends of the ice, both PP and PK, and is very consistent and disciplined. Plus he's great in the faceoff circle so you can play him in high danger situations. There's a reason lots of teams were going after him at the deadline.

He didn't play that well during the regular season for the Hawks. Obviously Stanley Cup glamor shines brighter than everything else. But local radio has been talking a lot about Crawford being traded to clear cap

Keep in mind he went from playing 19:00 for Arizona to suddenly dropping to 12-14 minutes in Chicago. The center depth there was Toews-Richards-Vermette, and he's dropped into a new system with 15 games to go - only a guy like Ray Bourque or Iggy is gonna be able to pick it up that quickly.
Eh, I still think he's gonna command $5 million at minimum, probably more. Teams are throwing money at two-way 2Cs and he fits the bill more than anyone else available this year.

Figure his agent uses Elias, Bolland, and Loui Eriksson as comparables, they had similar seasons just before their renewals and came in around $4.5-5.5m

"not a hockey fan"

not surprised as you play ball hockey

Just because I play a sport doesn't make me a fan. I enjoy playing hockey , I enjoy playing soccer.

I don't watch soccer at all, and I only watch Anaheim.
